About Cyprus

Cyprus, the 3rd largest Mediterranean Island and now a full member of the European Union has a charm, character and culture which are intriguing and inspiring. Cyprus is steeped in over 9000 years of history and yet, it is contemporary and progressive.

It has proved to be an extremely popular destination over the years, as the choice of many wishing to buy property.

The reasons are obvious for English is widely spoken and the island’s people are renowned for their hospitality and friendliness, they drive on the left and the banking and legal systems are based on the British structure. There are all the modern facilities one would expect of a European country including a very high standard of education and healthcare.

There are two International Airports at Paphos and Larnaca with frequent and reasonably priced flights from the majority of British airports as well as European airports.

Paphos is renowned for being the finest location on the Island and, due to the excellent motorway system, is connected to all the major towns.

Limassol, a vibrant tourist and commercial town is only half an hour’s drive from Pafos, a further 40 minutes drive takes you to Larnaca with its beautiful Palm tree lined sea front.

Agia Napa, a popular tourist destination is a half an hour drive west of Larnaca.

The capital, Nicosia is an immensely busy cosmopolitan city with a fascinating old town within the ancient walls. There are many designer shops and Nicosia is only 1½ hours drive from Pafos.

The Troodos Mountains, where you may ski in the winter, are well worth a visit particularly through some of the quaint mountain villages, to enjoy the spectacular scenery and refreshing alpine air.

The Island’s three championship golf courses are all within 20 minutes drive of Pafos town.

Cyprus is a land of smiling faces, the hospitality and genuine caring attitude of the Cypriots will endear you to this very special island in the sun making it such a special place in your heart you’ll never wish to leave - they say that no one visits Cyprus only once ……….. you’ll see!
